Who Is Donald Trump
In 2016, billionaire real estate mogul and reality television
personality Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United
States.
Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, the fourth of five children of Frederick C. and Mary MacLeod Trump. Frederick Trump was a builder and real estate developer who specialized in constructing and operating middle-income apartments in Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn. Donald was an energetic, assertive child, and his parents sent him to the New York Military Academy at age 13, hoping the discipline of the school would channel his energy in a positive manner.
Trump did well at the academy, both socially and academically, rising to become a star athlete and student leader by the time he graduated in 1964. He then entered Fordham University and two years later transferred to the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated in 1968 with a degree in economics. During his years at college, Trump secured education deferments for the Vietnam War draft and ultimately a 1-Y medical deferment after he graduated.
Trump followed his father into a career in real estate development, bringing his grander ambitions to the family business. As a student, Trump worked with his father during the summer and then joined his father's company, Elizabeth Trump & Son, after graduation from college.
In 1971, Donald Trump was given control of the company, which he later renamed the Trump Organization. He also moved his residence to Manhattan, where he began to make important connections with influential people.
On June 16, 2015, Trump made his White House ambitions official when he announced his run for president on the Republican ticket for the 2016 elections, joining a crowded field of more than a dozen major candidates."My plan will begin with safety at home – which means safe neighborhoods, secure borders, and protection from terrorism," he told his supporters. "There can be no prosperity without law and order." Trump also promised supporters that he would renegotiate trade deals, reduce taxes and government regulations.
In a stunning victory that defied polls, Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States on November 8, 2016. After one of the most contentious presidential races in U.S. history, Trump's surprising rise to the office of president was considered a resounding rejection of establishment politics by blue-collar and working class Americans. In his victory speech delivered at 2:30 am the following morning at the Hilton Hotel in New York City, Trump said: “I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans."

Brexit: Majority of UK now wants to stay in EU
Research suggests voters' views on EU membership have changed since the June referendum.
A majority of voters now want the UK to remain in the EU, a poll has suggested.
Remaining is now backed by an extremely slim majority of 51 per cent, versus 49 per cent who wish to leave the EU.
This suggests a small number of voters have changed their views since the UK voted to leave the EU by a margin of 52-48 on 23 June. The research, conducted by BMG Research, found the main swell of support came from people who did not vote in the referendum over the summer. Of those who didn't vote in June, 46 per cent said they now would in order to back EU membership, while 27 per cent said they would in order to vote to leave.
Following the referendum result, reports emerged of people who claimed to regret casting their ballot for Brexit, who came to be known as 'Bregret' voters.
The news follows a landmark judgment today in the High Court that the Government cannot trigger Article 50 without consulting parliament first. A lawyer for the challengers bringing the case told The Independent he expects this could delay Brexit. He said: "This is a resounding defence of our parliamentary democracy from our unanimous court."It certainly means the Government will need to prepare proper proposals, put those to Parliament and have them debated. They won't be able to move as swiftly as they might have liked. It will have to move in a democratic manner."

The leaders of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France agreed on Wednesday on a road map aimed at reviving the stalled peace process in eastern Ukraine, though details of the plan still need to be worked out. Also discussed was the creation of so-called disengagement areas to separate the warring parties, as well as measures to improve the humanitarian situation in eastern Ukraine. Ukraine’s president said an agreement had been reached that the road map should be adopted by the end of November. Poroshenko was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying it would include all security issues, including restoration of Ukraine’s control of its entire border with Russia. Poroshenko was also quoted as saying an agreement was reached on the deployment of an armed police mission in the areas held by pro-Russian separatists.

September 11 Attack Remembered
Hundreds gathered in Manhattan Sunday morning to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, and to honor the thousands of people who lost their lives.
Sunday’s Sept. 11 ceremony includes six moments of silence, each timed for events during the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. At 8:46 a.m., a police officer rang a bell to mark the first moment of silence, for when the first plane struck the North Tower. At 9:03 a.m., a moment of silence observed the time the second plane struck the South Tower.
A third moment of silence commemorated when Flight 77 struck the Pentagon, and a fourth when the South Tower fell. The fifth marked when Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pa. At 10:28 a.m., a final moment of silence was observed for the fall of the North Tower.

These are the countries with the best reputation
The 19 countries with the highest reputation have been announced by the Reputation Institute in its annual Country RepTrak index.
Rankings are based on numerous key drivers, including the quality
of exports, contribution to global culture, standard of living, general
tolerance, beauty, and safety.
Europe dominates the list, especially smaller countries that
balance strong economies with high quality of life. In fact, being a
large country seems to hamper reputation, with the US, China, Russia,
and India all missing out.
Keep scrolling to see the countries with the highest reputation:
19. Portugal — 66.53. Portugal was hit extremely hard by the
2008 financial crisis, with the government enacting severe austerity to
much public outcry. But its reputation with tourists remains as strong
as ever, and it has progressive drug-decriminalisation policies.
18. Germany — 67.55. It is perhaps a surprise that Germany,
which has one of the strongest economies in the world and a reputation
for making excellent products, did not come higher. If Frankfurt can
tempt some of London's banks over after the Brexit vote, it might do
better next time.
17. Spain — 67.73. Like Portugal, Spain was hit harder than
most by the recent economic downturn, with high levels of youth
unemployment. But tourists still can't get enough of the place,
especially Brits looking to live near the southern coast when they
retire.
16. Belgium — 67.95. For a population of just 11 million,
Belgium has an outsize global reputation. Brussels is the headquarters
for the European Union, the country's national football team is ranked
second, and the nation's beer is the best of the best.
15. France — 69.32. A spate of recent terrorist attacks may
have made a few people think twice about visiting France, but Paris and
the French Riviera are still among the most popular tourist destinations
in the world. Like Germany, France is also looking to attract bankers
from London because of the Brexit vote.
14. Japan — 70.97. No, this isn't Paris at night — it's
Tokyo. Japan's reputation for making innovative, high-end electronics
has remained intact since the 1980s, and along with Hong Kong the
country is a favourite for anyone looking to explore the Far East,
including businesses.
13. UK — 71.08. It's anyone's guess what effect the Brexit
will have on the UK's reputation in the next few years. But even without
London's finance centre the country's sense of history is still popular
with tourists, and low corruption means its law services are used by
clients around the globe.
12. Italy — 71.68. Italy's banking sector is going through
its own crisis that some say threatens the whole eurozone, but its
high-quality exports and tourist destinations mean it's high on the
Reputation Institute's list for now.
11. Austria — 72.44. Austria was once the cultural capital
of Europe, and it still packs a punch. The country has one of the
highest qualities of life in the world, and, like its German neighbour,
its quality exports are in high demand.
10. Netherlands — 73.90. The Netherlands is known for its
high tolerance and tourist-friendly culture, while Rotterdam is one of
the biggest shipping ports in the world, acting as a trading hub between
Europe and the rest of the globe.
9. Ireland — 74.1. Ireland's economy has exploded 26% in the
past year as the country attracts outside investment, both tech and
financial, like never before. This could ramp up even further as worried
Brits look to move there before their own country leaves the EU.
8. Denmark — 74.25. As a link between mainland Europe and
Scandinavia, Denmark is a tourist hotspot, and its citizens enjoy a high
standard of life. The country is also leading the way in renewable
energy, aiming to be free of fossil fuel by 2050.
7. New Zealand — 74.68. "The youngest country on earth," as
its tourist board calls it, New Zealand is both business and
tourist-friendly. Auckland is enjoying a construction boom, and
backpackers appreciate the remarkably low crime rates.
6. Finland — 75.16. Finland is the only Nordic country with
full EU membership, and it seems to have paid off. It has one of the
highest standards of life in the world, its manufacture exports are in
great shape, and tourists love visiting Helsinki.
5. Norway — 76.18. When the UK negotiates its Brexit,
there's a lot of talk about it following the "Norway model," which
allows for a degree of access to the single market without voting
rights. It seems to work very well for Noway — the country is an export
powerhouse thanks to large natural resources and a popular tourist
destination in its own right.
4. Australia — 76.84. It seems as if everyone wants to move
to Australia right now, and with a great economy and desirable climate
it is not surprising. Mining is one of the country's biggest sectors,
but Sydney is also enjoying a tech boom, while tourism in the country is
second to none.
3. Switzerland — 77.00. Switzerland stands on its own at the
heart of Europe despite not being a member of the EU. It is known for
its banks and high standard of living, and skiing in the Alps attracts
people from all over.
2. Canada — 77.82. Canada is high on the list of countries
people would love to immigrate to. With a tolerant culture, a strong
economy, and high levels of healthcare it is no wonder.
1. Sweden — 78.34. Sweden has it all: high-quality exports, a
tolerant society, low crime, beautiful cities to visit, a high standard
of living, a mild climate, and a strong sense of business. It could
well top the list for years to come.

Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall
Lifted from "Pink Floyd The Wall" film, this video is actually comprised of two songs: "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives" and "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" This video became the official video of "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" after the release of the film in 1982. This single is by far Pink Floyd's greatest ever mainstream success, instantly attaining classic status, and is perhaps their most famous piece of work. ABINTW Pt. 2 even became the protest song of a group of South African students during the apartheid regime, the song was subsequently banned in South Africa. The song itself is a protest against the rigidity of British schools, and in particular, the boarding school system Waters would have been part of as a young boy. The poem read out by the schoolteacher is a direct reference to "Money" The schoolteacher in this video was portrayed by the late, great, Scottish actor Alex McAvoy who passed away in June 2005. If you haven't seen "The Wall" I would Highly recommend you to do so.

EU-Ukraine-Russia: You think this war is somewhere far away?
Two years ago nobody thought Ukraine would be fighting for its freedom in a hybrid war instigated by Russia. This
is a new type of war: with soldiers without identifying marks,
civilians as a shield, local terrorism and diversions, propaganda,
cyber-terrorism and diplomatic double-dealings. Is Europe ready for such
a type of conflict?

Cause of MH17 crash by Dutch Safety Board
The crash of flight MH17 on 17 July 2014 was caused by the detonation of
a 9N314M-type warhead launched from the eastern part of Ukraine using a
Buk missile system. According to American intelligence sources, the plane was mistakenly shot down by pro-Russian insurgents using a Buk surface-to-air missile (SA-11) fired from the territory which they controlled. Their judgement was based on sensors that traced the path of the
missile, analysis of fragment patterns in the wreckage, voice print
analysis of conversations in which separatist militants claimed credit
for the strike, as well as photos and other data from social media
sites. The Ukrainian government stated that the missile was launched by "Russian professionals and coordinated from Russia". Malaysia proposed a United Nations resolution to set up an international
tribunal to prosecute those suspected of being behind the downing of
the plane. The proposal gained a majority on the UN Security Council (11
countries voting for it, 3 abstaining), but it was vetoed by Russia.[

First Ukrainian woman conquers Everest
28-year-old Iryna Galay from Zakarpattya climbed the top of Mount Everest to become the first Ukrainian woman on the world's highest peak.
The news was reported by Ukrainian media referring to a Kharkiv alpinist club. According to the report, Iryna was on Everest's top at 4 a.m. local time, while another Ukrainian lady, Tetyana Yalovchak is also on her way to the summit of the highest mountain on Earth.
Iryna is not a professional climber, she became interested in alpinism only three years ago when she made a bet with her colleague that she would be able to conquer Mount Kazbek, and she did it.Since then she decided to scale new heights and one day ventured on the most dangerous journey.
Iryna's instructor and guide is a professional alpinist Viktor Bobok, the first Ukrainian who managed to conquer all the mountain peak of the world's seven continents.
